On July 27th we will inagurate the 7th Film and Art Festival Two Riversides with the Polish premiere of “The Broken Circle Breakdown.” The screening’s special guest will be the director – Felix van Groeningen (“The Misfortunates”).

Cinema shall once again meet with theatre and music in Kazimierz Dolny. “The Broken Circle Breakdown” is a film adaptation of the play by Johan Heldenbergh (who plays the film’s leading role) and Mieke Dobels. Elise and Didier are a happy couple united by similar expectations from life and… a love for bluegrass music. However, things are about to change, and their feelings are to be put to a serious test. The protagonists are lead by a musical narrative, where the illustrations consist of bluegrass combined with epic themes, which emphasise the characters’ emotional states. This story, based on facts, enchanted the festival audience and received the Panorama Audience Award as well as the Europa Cinemas Label at this year’s Berlinale Festival. The film will have its Polish debut screenings on September 6th.



It’s well worth staying with us all weekend. Sunday will see another Polish premiere. We invite our festival audience to a world of art, luxury, and dirty business taking place within the shade of Italian towns. All this due to the screening of Giuseppe Tornatore’s latest movie, “The Best Offer.” The leading role is played by Geoffrey Rush, known to Polish audiences from pictures such as “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Shakespeare in Love,” and “Shine.” Once again, Giuseppe Tornatore decided to team up with composer Ennio Morricone.
